Investigation of the need of international cooperation in connecting between supply and demand, technological innovation of enterprises in the transportation section in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh

Implementing the Regular Functional Task in 2018, assigned by the Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, a business trip was set up to investigate the need of international cooperation in connecting between supply and demand, technological innovation of enterprises in the transportation section in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh. The surveyed enterprises are mainly engaged in the fields of maritime, ship building and offshore construction, transportation services, logistics and trade enterprises supporting the transport sector.

This survey is a field survey and interviews with representatives of sample businesses are conducted to test statistical hypotheses and increase the reliability of statistical data to help staff to collect data and get more information on the questionnaire or comments which are generated outside the questionnaire due to limitations on the scale of the survey.

The delegation had a meeting with local enterprises

During the visit, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the enterprises in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh provinces. They also provided information on the production and business situation of enterprises, import and export, linking supply and demand, technological innovation, shared the advantages and disadvantages of barriers, tariffs, non-tariffs, technical barriers and regulations of the state to enterprises in the context of  economic downturn, combined with the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution involving mechatronics, AI, IOT, blockchain and Big data  which applied to business production. The trip provided a number of practical and lively materials for the delegation to complete the report, as well as suggested a number of consultations for enterprises and policy recommendations related to supporting the development of cooperation and integration of international science and technology in the connection of supply and demand, technological innovation in the transportation sector in particular as well as the economic sectors in general of the country.
